More Mixed Media Challenge - "Anything Goes" optional Red

Hi everyone and hope you all well.

Thank you for your support and to everyone who entered our last Challenge and i shall be back on the 10th to announce the Winners, Top 5 and we have Digi Papers for our Winners.



 Now our 12th Challenge for you is going to be "Anything Goes" + optional Red.

We would love to see your mixed media work, project life spreads, digital layouts, scrap-booking, pocket letters, up-cycled projects etc. Even though we are a mixed media challenge we dont want to leave anyone out so you can also enter with your traditional paper/card/image layouts plus free to enter as many times as you like with a new creation. Enter any other challenges and most of all have fun.

For my creation i started of with a 8" x 8" canvas.  Added Dylusion paints for main back ground colours. Textured paste and stencils. Mix of stamps. Sizzix flower dies. Brads. Sizzix diamond die. Vera Lane Studios image coloured with Spectrum Nior pens. Black marker pen. Ribbons

I have painted journal page with Red acrylic paint.  Painted stencil with moulding paste.  Added sentiment that someone posted on facebook.  Added glitter around sentiment.   Added picture drawn by my 2nd granddaughter.

Added red flower washi tape, butterfly stickers, red punched flowers and rhinestones . Added glitter washi tape along bottom edge.

I painted the plain wooden hanging with acrylic paint, leaving one or two areas without full cover to give a distressed look, using an alcohol pen to ink the 'nooks and crannies'. I stamped randomly with an Anita hearts and script design that I've had for years, inked with memento tuxedo black. I coloured the white ribbon with a darker red alcohol pen, using this to fill in some of the hearts. Flowers are Craftime and the spacers are Prima.

My project this month is an altered notebook.  I've used Faber Castell Gelatos in Pistachio, Blueberry and Metallic Blueberry for my background, after blending these together with a dampened cloth I added a layer of Liquitex Gloss Super Heavy Gel, This works wonderfully as a sealant and a glue, so I added some to the back of my centerpiece before layering that on top of the notebook whilst the gel was still wet, I added more gel over the centerpiece to seal it, then left it all to dry overnight.

My centerpiece is a page from the Spectrum Noir Colorista Premium Marker Pad - Butterflies, which I was lucky enough to receive as a freebie when i purchased my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens.
