More Mixed Media Challenge - "Yellow"

Hi everyone and hope you all well..
Thank you for your support and to everyone who entered March's Challenge and i shall be back on the 8th to announce the Winners, Top 5 and a little bonus.
Now our 4th challenge for you is any shades of "Yellow"
We would like to see some where on your project a shade of Yellow for this challenge so it could be the main focal colour or just a splash its up to you.

We would love to see your mixed media work, project life spreads, digital layouts, scrap-booking, pocket letters, up-cycled projects etc. Even though we are a mixed media challenge we dont want to leave anyone out so you can enter with your traditional paper/card layouts so long as we can see the colour for each challenge. Feel free to enter as many times as you like with a new creation. Enter any other challenges and most of all have fun.

Would like to thank the Design Team for their stunning crafty creations that they have made for this challenge and hope they have given you some inspiration to join in with us as we can not wait to see what you come up with for this challenge. Would also like to thank and welcome Sampada to the Design Team and to start our inspiration is Sampada 1st gorgeous creation.

I have created this layout using Tim Holtz stencils with homemade texture for layering, Tim Holtz Distress stain, Lindy's mist spray, acrylic colours. I have also used embellishments like glitters, metal charms, butterflies, mdf, pollens and yellow flowers( to make yellow as prominent). This is my first project as Design Team member so I am very excited and wanted to make something special..As yellow signifies the joy, sunshine, warmth...so I end up using my pic with my husband of our courtship period :)

I've created this mixed media piece with Tim holtz Sizzix "Sand and Sea" die. There is crackle texture on the starfish and seahorse. I have built lot of layers in the background as well. To know more how I created this and to see close up views pls visit my blogpost at Neon diary.

Created by using Dylusion paints, stencils and face stamp plus lots of other elements to add texture, more details posted on my blog

Gelli plate prints made with a mix of different acrylic yellow paints with a Clarity stencil with the piece on the right was made by rolling the brayer over the card that was on the gellli plate, thus getting all the different yellows. Stencilled the piece of IndigoBlue Vintage memories mixed media card stack, adding Prima flowers, DCWV chipboard and bows and twine from stash, all mounted on to a piece of embossed card.

The video is here.
This is a little postcard made with a digital image, lots of paints, a napkin, a magazine sentiment, some notepad paper as well as paper from a crossword puzzle.

This is a Canvas Board painted with Acrylics, Gelatos and Gold Liquid Pearls featuring a beautiful image from Saturated Canary, stencilled sentiment, Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel and lashings of superfine glitter.

A quirky birthday card made with layering up different scrap papers and card in different hues of blue, green, cream and yellow to depict the sea and sand. The lady was stamped and then coloured with Promarkers and then fussy cut and layered on top. A flower die cut has been used for the sun, and the flip flops were cut out of patterned paper and little thongs and crystals added.

Hope you join in as we love to see your crafty creations plus have digi papers up for grabs from HERE for 3 randomly chosen winner's plus the DT's Top 5. Dont forget our other Challenge Blog A Bit More Time To Craft as we always "Anything Goes"
Take care

  1. I'm so in awe of the other DTs work. I adore the canvases and layouts with the bright hues of yellow and all the components used to create their works of art. I am very inspired and shall be doing my own take of a journal page or canvas for May. Such a bright happy page for the start of Spring :) xx
