Mixed Media covers a lot of things so how can anyone get it wrong. This is a fun place so if you are new and looking to have a play by having a go here is a bit of help. A technique involving the use of two or more artistic media, such as ink and pastel or painting and collage, etc, that are combined in a single composition.

Hello Dearies...
Today I share a reverse canvas with you all - PINK totally.  I'm totally honored to showcase this project for More Mixed Media Challenge blog as Guest DT and would like to thank you guys for this honor.
I have used the reverse side of canvas.  I have used White Gesso - Prima, Dustty Attic Bubbles Stencil, Dustty Attic Chippie - Jewel and flourish chippie from local stores, Viva Gold, Baby Pink - Papericious new release spray,  hand made and mulberry flowers, handmade felt flowers, different sizes beads and pearls.
I worked down on the canvas with clear gesso and stenciled with Dustty Attic Bubble stencil and white gesso and heat set it, used spray and worked down, applied gesso to chippies and highlighted with Viva Gold, Embellished with flowers, beads and pearls.

The focal pic I choose is my dear crafty friend's niece.  She's totally a princess with Blue eyes....and pretty one.  I just adore this little angel and complete loved working on her pics for my projects.

Hi there..
Happy to share this layout project which I guest designed as an inspiration for this challenge.
Pink is often associated with girlie things and so I picked a vintage photo of a sweet little girl for this layout.
The paper I have used is from one of soft pastels collection from the works stores. I gessoed first and then used spray from Lindy's gang to color my background. I used some die cuts from Kaisercraft wildflower collectibles and some other mulberry flowers from my stash. To finish off I added some sentiments from Tim Holtz idea-ology.
Loved the final outcome!!

Coloured 6"x6" canvas with pink and green Ecoline brush pens and sprayed with water.
Stamped ballet shoes stamp
Used three stencils with moulding paste.
Aurora Wings digi stamp La Sylphide coloured with markers
Typed sentiment and pasted onto pink card  and added on top
Added pink and silver glitter washi tape
Added butterfly ribbon and flowers

I gave this mdf  Live ornament a coat of gesso to seal it,then applied 3 coats of Fuschia Pink acrylic paint, I didn't realise what a tricky colour it was to photograph, with the wrong lighting the pink looked red!
I randomly stamped some script over the letters using black Stazon Ink.
Once dry I sprayed with a sealer and then added the flowers, wire coils and gems.

For my creation i used an old piece of cardboard for the base (Cardboard Art). The image is called Pandora from Vera Lane Studios which i coloured with Spectrum Nior pens. Added scraps of papers, gesso, crayons, stencils, flower stamp cut out and coloured, buttons and ribbon

I made an A3 mixed media piece. The background was gessoed,
painted with light grey and some madder red, and textured with a brayer.
The Banksy stencil is a freebie from Stencilry.org. The tulips
are from a paper napkin, applied with matte medium. The dots were also added
with a stencil, as was the text.

I altered and decorated a tin that had previously had chocolates in. I used stream and wild plum alcohol inks with dabs of BP7 pink alcohol spectrum noir pen, mixed with alcohol blending solution, dabbing randomly everywhere. For the lid of the tin I just used the pink alcohol with the blending solution. I stamped Stampington antique buttons with memento tuxedo black and decorated with ribbons, felt buttons and crocheted flowers.

Hi everyone! Happy to be back with my May project set of pink tags:)
To do the faces I used Sculpey  Flexible Push Mold (Art Doll Faces) and some modeling paste. After drying I painted them with gold and cooper InkaGold paints.  I gessoed the tags and did some stenciling with texture paste by Pebeo (although now the stenciling is not really visible:) I put few layers of masking tape , some gauze  and pieces of builder's tape on one side of the tag. Afterwards I added randomly some coarse grain texture paste and Mini Art Stones and Art Stones from Finnabair ( to stick them together I used Medium Gel by Pebeo). Now the colouring part- I used 3 Magicals from Lindy's Stamp Gang: Hibiscus Rose, Plumeria Pink and a touch of Autumn Maple Crimson. As embellishments I used  some sisal, silver metal wire, glass cabochons, 3D stars and a big white styrofoam balls. I placed the faces in  a beer and champagne caps and on the cameo which I made earlier with modeling paste  (all were covered  beforehand with gesso). I stamped 2 butterflies (Visible Image - Own Kind of Beautiful) on the calque paper, cut them in a half and glued onto the tags. Splashes of black were created with black acrylic paint from Pebeo and the words comes from Tim Holtz' Idea-ology stickers. I added few small touches of gold (on the wings of butterflies, caps and on the edges of tags), added dark pink ribbon and my happy tags are done:)

For my project I decided to go ahead and make a couple of tags. I haven't made any tags in awhile and my time this week was limited. I took some distress inks (picked raspberry, tattered rose, & wild honey) to create my background. Took my Dina Wakley scribble sticks and edged the tags with black. The tag in the background is a bit different from the other. I took some magenta pink, blackberry and turquoise scribble sticks and created some polka dots to the background, then I created loopy borders in magenta pink on the tag closest in front. Both tags were stamped using a Heidi Swapp's Music Notes stamp in black archival ink.  This stamp is a 6x6 and is gorgeous!

I also colored in the circle frame medallion around the face in magenta pink and the face in white. I also highlighted the music notes in white to make them stand out more. This was done on both tags. For the background tag, I had added a guitar that I had already cut from a long time ago. I just added some magenta pink to the inside scrolls and also added in some glossy accents. To the top, I added some pink ribbons and added a pink bow to the guitar. For the tag in the front, I added some gold and rose pink glitter flakes and some pink fringe yarn to the top. I also added a cute pink bow using some pink floss string. Added glossy accents to the medallion on this tag as well and added a Tim Holtz ideaology plate to the bottom of the tag that says, "Reality has limits, imagination is boundless". Well that completes my tags! Hope you like!

Take care
