Mixed Media covers a lot of things so how can anyone get it wrong. This is a fun place so if you are new and looking to have a play by having a go here is a bit of help. A technique involving the use of two or more artistic media, such as ink and pastel or painting and collage, etc, that are combined in a single composition.

Alysha -
Hi there! This month I have created a faux metallic flower using Viva waxes and an embossing folder, the background I created using a Creative Expressions Background Stamp onto a pearlescent chocolate colored card and then embossed in Black then just added a sentiment. Hugs Aly xxx

Mixed Media card : Lozzy papers - Lace - White Gesso
Acrylics Paints - Distress Inks - Glimmer Mist

Distress stains, Prismacolor pencils, card, stamping, leaves, brads.

Distress ink pads, stamps, punches, stencils

Mixed Media Card, with Oddball Art Stamps Image, Making Memories Papers, Yellow Corrugated Card, Fluorescent Pink Acrylic Paint, Wild Mustard Distress Powder, Wooden Buttons and Alphabet stickers.

I used a 'Decorate your own bird' frame from The Works, painted with brown acrylic paint and stamped using a Clare Curd paisley 'inked' with acrylic metallic bronze paint. I then daubed fingerprints in places and added the embellishments and the bird picture instead of a photo.

Take care
