using chalk ink pads, embossing powder, stencils, stamps, water colour oil pastels, dylusion sentiments, black and white markers, paperbabe stencils for woman
For this white gift bag I covered front and back in pretty paper, added a strip of lace to one side, then created a panel by using a scrap of white card, some die cuts and a torn strip of paper from the same set. I used pale green gilding wax on the white frame and added an image taken from the paper set. I added the panel to the bag and trimmed with flowers, pearly leaves and a lace bow on the handle.
Painted both journal pages with gesso and then with pink paint.
Painted stencil on each page with moulding paste.
Added paper lace to left page.
Stamped around edges of both pages.
Stamped flowers and hearts on both pages.
Stamped extraordinary, beautiful and special on right side
(stamping doesn't show up in the scan)
Added picture drawn by my second grand daughter onto left page.
Printed sentiment, cut out and layered onto left page.
(copied sentiment from Grandma Bonnie's card)
Added flowers
Added flowers and photo of my grand daughter.
Added bookmark from Digistamps4Joy MP453 Powerful Women bookmark set which I coloured with markers.
Added butterfly lace across bottom of both pages.
I used a 10" manila tag which I painted with pastel pinks and a touch of turquoise.I collaged the right half with paper napkin pieces in pastel
colours, and used iron paste (Pentart) through a stencil for the right half
to give a good contrast, as I find that pastel alone can sometimes look a bit
insipid I 'joined the 2 halves with some TH tissue tape,
and added a die cut sentiment and some flowers from my stash.
I sewed the tag onto a dark grey background.
I prepared 3 ATC cards, all with feathers. But every feather and every background are different. So you'll find here chipboard feather and die-cuts feathers from Spellbinders. They were all covered with gesso and watercolors. With, of course, few splashes of white acrylic paint here and there:) The backgrounds were also done with watercolors, the edges were distressed with scissors and I added another bottom layer of evenly applied watercolor paint. I wrapped pieces of threads around and in-between the two layers and added some microbeads from Martha Stewart. Words come from Chitchat Stickers by Tim Holtz and there is light background stamping with Creative Embellishments stamp and Archival Ink. For the final touch I used real feathers which I placed underneath the fake ones simply to give more softness to the cards.
Take care
Hugs
